Idio- "one's own, personal, private" from Greek idios
pedia- the rearing and education of an ideal member of the Greek Polis

The Idiopedia is my concept of cataloging my learning, a commonplace book for the 21st century. It may or may not be fully sourced, itcertainly will not be an exhaustive encyclopedia, whose goal is the cataloging of all knowlege, but I hope it will contain interesting things.

philosophy of the Idiopedia

One does not learn without organizing the ideas they read. One needs to work to process the information, or else it is not sustained. The project of the idiopedia is for me to have a place in which I organize the information I process. By it's nature, such a program will start small and thoroughly incomplete. By my nature, it will also be tremendously idiosyncratic. Likely topics are to lean heavily on the history, with a large dose of information technology and linguistics, and a fair smattering of science and random flights of fancy.
